Clear Labs Receives AOAC Approval
We are proud to announce that Clear Labs has received AOAC approval for Clear Safety’s NGS-based Salmonella enterica pathogen detection method! (By the way, our platform also supports Salmonella bongori.)
This certification serves as yet another proof point for our customers, ensuring that food manufacturers and third-party service labs can depend on our claims around accuracy and turnaround time.
To receive the approval, AOAC evaluated Clear Safety’s methods and found that our platform performs as well or better than the FDA’s Bacterial Analytical Manual and FSIS’s Microbiology Laboratory Guidebook.
The test results found that our platform provides qualitative detection of Salmonella enterica. In inclusivity and exclusivity evaluations to test the sensitivity and specificity of the Clear Safety Method, “all 106 inclusivity organisms were correctly included and all 34 exclusivity organisms were correctly excluded.”
AOAC’s program is the premier method of certification, and we’re thrilled to have our platform approved by their rigorous standards.
