What's Going on with Food at SXSW?
by, Clear Labs
Food continues to be a hot topic at the SXSW conference, coming up in Austin, Texas, from March 10–19, 2017. A quick search for “food” shows close to 50 food-related events – unfortunately we can’t go to all of them.
Our very own VP of Product, Maria Fernandez-Guajardo, is speaking on a panel at the SXSW Interactive called, “Why We Need a Data Standard For The Food Industry,” on March 11 from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM, when she will discuss why now more than ever we need data standards in food in order to be able to transform information into actionable intelligence for the future of food safety. She’ll be joined by Jason Tatge of Farmobile.
If you are joining us at SXSW this year, here are a few other events covering food trends that we’re particularly excited about, and we think you might find interesting:
- Infinite Food with Microbes, a panel about how microbes are changing our food
- How AI/Machine Learning Will Change the Way We Eat, a panel that covers the ways to structure food date among other related topics
- Occupy Your Meal: What socially conscious growers and restaurateurs are doing
- Navigating a Rapidly Changing and Connected World
We hope to see you in Austin. Let us know if you’re coming!
